Diversity in Latin American Art

This exhibition illustrates the broad cultural diversity vested within the Latin American community.  Featured are traditional oil paintings by self taught Mayan Indians from Guatemala's remote highland regions.  In contrast, contemporary art reflecting current American trends within a Mexican-American context, depicts the day to day experiences of two San Francisco based Mexican-American painters.
